Happy Wednesday day friends!
Today is officially my Friday since we leave tomorrow for Charleston!!
I am so excited to explore a new city and eat all of the yummy food we have been reading about!
One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to read a new book, I “read” a lot of books during the year and by that I mean listen to a lot of audio books throughout the year with my book club. Since having Camden I have not read a lot of actual paper books because I am tired lol I used to read at lunch or before I went to bed at night. If I tried to read a book before I went to bed now, I wouldn’t even get past the first sentence….
I wanted to share some of the books I have read or listened to this past year the were good, easy reads and would be perfect for the beach! (Or perfect for hiding in your closet from your toddler)
November 9 – If you love a good love story with a couple of plot twist that make you go “what??”, you will love November 9! We read this in book club this past November and I feel in LOVE!
The Woman in Cabin 10 – I wanted to read this book for a while and bought it for our trip to Nashville in November. This is definitely an edge of your seat type of book…it does slow down a little in the middle but then blows you away with the last half of the book!
Confess -This is another book that will keep you on your toes and not let you put it down! I loved the story line of this book and that each painting represented a random person’s confession! If you read the actual book versus listening to this book you will see the paintings!
Girl Wash Your Face – Y’all, I love me some Rachel Hollis – I listen to her podcast, Rise, and read her blog! This book is one I will continue to go back to a couple times a year just to hear her breakdown what I already know but help me implement it in my everyday life! If you have not read this book yet, do it now!
All The Ugly and Wonderful Things – Okay….so you are going to buy this book, you are going to read this book, while reading this book you are going to say “Why in the ‘hayle’ did Erin recommend this book to me and why would she ever read this??”….but you are not going to be able to put this book down, then when you finish this book you are going to think it is one of the best books you have ever read. That is the only clue I am giving…read it. love it. tell your friends. (Hayle is the southern way to say ‘hell’ and I gave this book 5 stars)
The Last Mrs. Parrish – This book is a super and quick easy read that you will not be able to put down! It has 2 sides of the story that when the second part is being told your jaw hangs for a bit!
Do you have any books you have read I need to add to my “to read” list?
If you read any of these books let me know what you think! I love giving book recommendations and if you are on Goodreads find me so we can be friends!!
