Dating each other is something Zach and I are really serious about and to be completely honest, this is not something we feel bad about leaving our child with a babysitter for a couple of hours so that we can reconnect. I am a firm believer that if Zach and I are good with each other and our marriage then that will trickle down to our child.
I have been thinking about this post for a couple of weeks now since Zach and I are about to celebrate 10 years of togetherness this coming weekend (and 7 years of Marriage in November). I would like to tell you all 10 years were filled with rainbows or unicorns, but there were some rough patches and pauses in there as well.
Its kind of like Ross and Rachel….were they are on a break? Not on a break?? Each party has their own answer.
We are very fortunate to be able to go on as many date nights as we have been thanks to my parents getting Camden once a week the majority of weeks. When they first started getting Camden on their Wednesday nights, Zach and I would normally do house work or catch up on TV. I am not one who can be at home and not do something off of my never ending to-do list, so we decided we would leave the house for date nights.
While it may not be in the budget to leave the house and eat somewhere extravagant every week, leaving the house was the game changer! No distractions, just us hanging out having a good time, eating food (which happens to be our favorite past time) and normally enjoying a glass of wine or two!
I took a poll a couple of years ago on Facebook about date nights and below are some of the answers I received. Zach and I normally just go to dinner, because again dinner and wine are our favorite!

I keep a running list of date night ideas I see online or some that just pop in my head in my notes section on my phone. If you have any date night ideas I would love for you to share!
